Herbivore

I just released a new shawl pattern today called Herbivore!

$5.00

There are some other beautiful versions already knit up and ready to see on Ravelry

Herbivore is a shawl named after the plant-like structures within the fabric. Increases at each edge and at three other locations create the unique shape, while twisted stitches branch out from those increases.
This pattern uses about 430 yds of a fingering weight yarn and would look great in solid as well as variegated and semi-solid yarns.

The three sets of increases in the fabric allow the piece to be worn several different ways.

I have a couple other patterns to share in the next few days as well!

Stephen, your color-work pieces are gorgeous! I am now in the midst of wrapping up a couple of projects, and then I would love to embark on making your "Akimbo" :-) ... I might have to meet up with you one day so you can lend me a hand with making some color choices ... oh but I LOVE that pattern! I also would like to thank you for posting about the little yarn pots! It made my husband so happy to see them being used, and loved up in their happy home!

Hey, found colonnade on knitty and am really loving the herbivore and was further excited by the fact that you go down to urbana for whatever. I go to UIUC and would love to know where you buy your yarn, you pick the loveliest selections. ^_^

Hi there. Your blog says the pattern is $5 but it's actually $6. Not a big deal, just wanted to let you know. :) I'll be taking a class with you at the end of the month, and I'm looking forward to it.

I just started Herbivore in a summery linen/rayon(Berrocco NaturLin). Do you think it's an interesting yarn choice for your pattern?
Could I please see a close up picture of the center detail on Herbivore? I just started, and I'm not sure I'm doing k1throughbackloop(centerstitch) and P1tbl(cs) correctly. Any other advice would be gracious.
